Purchasing a generator through an authorized dealer provides additional advantages including having the generator sized to the customers specific needs. Having a personal expert to handle permits, installation, and warranty registration takes these daunting tasks off your hands. An authorized dealer provides a one-stop-shop for electrical and gas connections to the generator. Overall, getting your generator from an authorized dealer ensures that your installation is done correctly and safely.
What if I already bought my generator online, will you install it?
Yes, we will. However, purchasing a unit through an authorized dealer provides added benefits such as extended warranties and having a personalized service team.
Will Philbrick's service my generator if I bought it somewhere else?
Yes, as long it is one of the brands we are authorized in. If you are unsure your generator is on our list please call our office.
How do I decided what size generator I need?
There are several factors that determine what size generator to install. The most important being do you want your whole house or partial house powered during an outage. Our expert technicians specialize in sizing a generator for your specific needs.
What brand generators do you service?
Briggs and Stratton, GE, Generac, and Kohler. Please call our office if you don't see your brand listed here.

We service a 60 mile radius from Madbury, New Hampshire.
What happens after I decide I want to buy a generator?
There are multiple steps that happen once you have decided to move forward with a purchase. At Philbrick's, we takes the work off your hands and start the process for pulling permits, calling dig safe, and scheduling the gas and electrical installation for your new generator. If you would like to use your own contractors our friendly staff is happy to coordinator with them.

Are permits required to install my generator?
Yes. Most towns do require permitting in order to install a generator. A wiring permit will be needed along with a gas permit. Some towns also require placement permits (mechanical permit). Inspections of all pulled permits will follow once the job is completed. But not to worry, we take care of all this for you!
Do I need to perform any maintence on my standby generator?
Per manufacturer recommendations, generators should be serviced at least once a year. Philbrick's is factory certified and we have designed our Maintence Agreements to meet the manufacturer guidelines. Leaving the tune-ups to the experts ensures your units warranty will stay valid and allows us to perform any factory issued updates and service bulletins.
Is there financing available for generators?
Yes. Each brand of generator offers different financing plans that Philbrick's works with. For more information please call our office and one of our administrative assistants will be happy to assist you.
Do I need to be home for someone to service my generator?
Usually no, you do not need to be home as generally all the work is done outside at the generator. On occasion, there are times where we will ask you to be home if we are in need of inside access, in which case we would notify you.
Can I pay my bill online?
Yes, we can email you an invoice and you can do an ACH bank transfer with no fees. You may also pay your bill over the phone. We accept most credit cards and checks.
